Much cleaner than 10 days ago – run into Ken and Denise @ Qually’s bridge – Denise photo’d with 12” brown! Head down to Haagsma’s rock garden – beautiful calm nite – lots of action, on big salmonfly dries, the only see 1 golden stone – few actual hookups though – fish seem to be striking short … real good flurry of big fish at about 8:30, just up from Qually’s cabin – land 16 ½” ‘er broken off by another about same size, and summarily snapped off by even bigger fish – chances both up @ down from bridge. Caught the salmonfly hatch – fish just wouldn’t catch the flies – final tally, 1 for about a dozen.
