Peak Activity for this day:
Tar barks while I fart around Summit Lake for an hour in the morning, then a great breakfast at Border Inn. Then do stretch down from highway @ Burmis, starting at big bend pool. I catch two nice 15” ‘er on SJW’s, and having a smoke when hardware chucker in shorts comes around corner on other side. Five or 10 casts later, and I’ve got a fat 18” ‘er jumping and thrashing around. All goes well except I forgot camera. More action at most pools, but lose most. Back up to Burmis Lake and up to Oxbow Pool – nice fish at 1st pool (break off on photo op – bring net!) – another @ Oxbow Pool – 15” – and one smaller guy at next pool down. Lots of fishermen around. End up with 9 hooked, 5 landed, again mostly good fish. Friendly Fly Fisherman (FFF) allows how Whitetail Lake in BC has big un’s although now overcrowded (as is Mikota Lodge/Hector Lake) – is Bow Toew’s neighbor.
