After yesterday’s great action, I can’t resist Robert’s suggestion that we slip away – great looking day when we leave Red Deer but by the time we get to Lloyd Graf’s (where Ken Short is already parked!) the clouds are rolling in. Sure enough, the rains come about an hour later. Not as crazy as yesterday (we end up @ Haagsma’s stretch) but Robert goes 5 for 10 (1 on 1st cast and last cast – the bridge fish, a nice 15” ‘er) – I got a mere 1 for 4 – misses on salmonfly, land a 14” ‘er on PMD – water now only 57° - still very few adult salmonflies about. I miss a big one @ Qually’s. Off in Robert’s BMW on muddy gravel roads for BBQ venison @ the cabin. Home late.
