Heavy rains yesterday, but Robt. and I had planned to drift down from Joffre, so at 11:00 we’re looking at the river – 18” -24” visibility, so off we go. River is kind of boring in the 3-5 miles we drift – we do find a few rising goldeye; I land one, Robert is 0 for 3. Some golden? (stones, about, caddis, small mayflies. Up to the bridge pool at day’s end – possibly a couple of big browns, but we can’t fool ‘em.
Note: May 24, 1998 – Red Deer is now totally out of shape – less than 6” vis.
