Peak Activity for this day:
After breakfast in Caroline (get to watch a parade!) head south to check this lake out for the first time. There’s talk of some large brookies – and whadda you know, it’s true!! Even on a cold, rainy, windy Saturday (12:30 – 4:30), there are plenty of feisty brook trout who take #6 Brown Bow R. Bugger, weighted, on wet cel 7 wt. with some lead on the leader. The other float-tuber also has good action (after I fess up to what I’m using) – he’s on floating line. Great lake in that it’s not accessible to boats. Land 8 fish average 15” and fat – up to 16 ½”, lose some, broken off x 2. I’ll be back. Heavy snow in Calgary, Kananaskis last night.
