May 17, 1998 Gull Lake – RDR

Have a notion to do some pike fishing, so out to Gull we go…lotsa folks out at Aspen Beach and Parkland Beach. Wading doesn’t look too appetizing…off to “Bridge Club Run”; flog big stonefly nymphs, no action, but head up to the flats, wee one riser, definitely a brown. Plentiful early dark stones on the water….get Tar eating ‘em. No trout eating them for me tho.
