From Edmonton to Prairie Creek, meet up with Robert and Ken at their cabin. Despite 4” of snow yesterday, it’s turned into a bluebird Victoria Day weekend. Ken’s been catching some good sized browns (17” average). Check Prairie (home pool) in the p.m. Lots of caddis, nothing rising. 53° water. Do a little work on cabin (make stepping stone bridge @ Spring Creek). Back out later from 8-10 – the later it got, the more the browns rose. Nobody catches anything, tho – (I do lose a small brookie @ Beaver Trap Pool). Robert has a salmonfly crawl up on his waders and hatch.
