Float tubing on Mitchell Lake – nobody but me and the loon; the alleged brook trout are conspicuous by their absence. This lake fishing has possibilities – learn that you do walk in backwards, and you shouldn’t wear your vest. Will try again.
Another hot tub, then we meet Robert and Gerene @ Stauffer Store. Robert and I try “Breeder’s Alley” – I miss one and lose another. Run into Don Andersen “12” ‘er on a little green nymph – got 3 on Prairie last night”.

Also – earlier in the day – down from E/W bridge on Stauffer before thundershower – lots of flies, lots of rises – I miss one on #14 March Brown (too big) and seem to spook the rest. Flies go down with the rain, but a few reappear by evening (incl. small stoneflies)
