First day of spring – first time out in 94, with Glen Strong for his first attempt at flyfishing. Head to Fuhrer’s cabin – run into 2 spin (or bait?) fisherman who actually have 2 whitefish and a 12” brown on the proverbial forked stick in the back of the ½ ton. They offer the fish to me. I decline. On hindsight, should have said something about catch and release. Anyhow, it’s a fine spring day – Glen gets a lesson, and we don’t catch any fish. Now that’s not a first.
