With Glen (and 14’ travel trailer!). Heavy rainfall on way in, lets up at dark – river is remarkably clear next a.m. considering, although as high and stained downstream as I’ve ever fished it. Saturday we head down from Nice Creek, start fishing about noon. Quite a few Golden Stones about; I end up 5 for 6 on golden stone nymph, Glen gets 3 on Yellowstone Hopper. Land fine 19” ‘er (#00886) up from Pinto Creek – meet Ron Manz (and Argo) at Nice Creek – had clients up from Pennsylvania on Tuesday. Glen gets couple little guys @ Booby-trap cabin @ dusk – no mayflies @ dusk yet (any only a few during the day). Sunday is cooler and overcast; get a couple 14” ‘ers at pool up from Cripple Creek, see #36? Large trout anyhow. Nothing doing at upstream ford; more rain on the way home (note: Brown Drakes on Prairie, 9:00 p.m. last Wednesday).
