Arrive at Jackson’s approx. 2:30; Don Anderson’s truck is there; we meet Bob & John Scammell earlier at the store bridge. Robert and I head for the cattle crossing, thence upstream. It’s a cloudy, drizzly kind of day (water 51°) but at about 3:30 or 4:00, the big old Green Drakes start appearing, and so do the fish. I go 3 for 7 or so, all decent fish in the 10-12” range, all in the “Shunda Creek” stretch, Robert goes 2 for 5 or something like it. We run into Don on the way out, he’s caught 14 with a few in the 15” category. Apparently the Scammells caught several as well, so it’s been a productive day for the Jackson Run.
