Peak Activity for this day:
Take Tar out to Strubel with new float tube. Don’t learn from past experience apparently – once again it’s pretty disastrous – Tar chases fly, gets tangled up with fish, hooked in lip once – and I can’t get out too far. Good day nonetheless! Lots of action on big dragonfly nymphs and damselfly dry in the weeds. Actually land about 10 fish, up to healthy 16” reel-screamer. One other float tuber who’s doing OK with woolly buggers 10-12’ deep. ½ doz. other boats trolling willow leaves etc. I intend to try again tomorrow sans hound.
