Beautiful little lake about 1 ½ hours west of Sundre, near Ya-Ha-Tinda. Court in Sundre. Robert and I pick up belly boats and head to the mountains. Fish are rising when we get there, and I have great action for the first hour or so (7 fish, 3 good ones in 14-17” range – on caddis fly dries and nymph) – one other guy in float tube on the lake. Unfortunately, the wind comes up, the fish go down and it’s pretty dead from then on. We try and wait for the evening action, but finally get impatient with the wind and leave. Stop to take a quick look @ Bighorn Creek and of course it now seems that wind has quit. Nice fat football cuts though, rough road in.
