On the way home from Goldeye, we stop firstly at the North Ram upstream of Forestry Trunk road. Lo and behold, after about 10 minutes, Jess gets a 9” cut throat on a hopper in the 50° water. Mac follows up with another out of the second small pool we hit (on a #10 Royal Trude) and I get a third (also on Trude). I get another small one out of the same pool on the way back (Jess also misses 2). We then stop at the indicator pool, and I nail a 20” beauty on a size 10 John’s Elk Hair hopper in the 55° water. There are a few golden stoneflies around laying their eggs. Jess then nails a 14” and lands it nicely. See photos!
