Since North Ram trip fell through, decide to explore some new territory. Arrive at Little Red about 11:00 a.m. – run into guy and 3 kids, no luck, but he says he got a 3 lb. fish last year. No luck for me either – water is a little murky.

Head out after an hour and 1/2. Off to Fallentimber Creek (take Shell plant west off Highway 22 – follow signs to campsite). Is a fine little creek, much like Prairie, slightly smaller, excellent gravel bottom. Go 5 for 15 in 3 hours, use “Stimulator” as hopper. Fish up to 2 nice pools – catch 14” ‘er, lose couple bigger ones. Since I am in the vicinity, head down to Dogpound Creek, west of campsite. Much like Stauffer lower down, except better gravel. 6 for 16 (mostly little guys) one 12” ‘er, miss couple decent fish. Fun little creek – must try again, as with Fallentimber (Spinner fisherman on Fallentimber says caught some big browns in spring). Get caught in major intense thunderstorm on way home (after excellent burger @ the Hawks Nest Inn in Cremona) – severe lightning, rain and wind so hard, at times. I am reduced to 30 mph.
