Stay at Robert’s cabin Friday night – feels like it’s going to snow! However, Saturday dawns clear and calm, so off I go (Robert and Ken are working on cabin). Park at white cabin, walk downstream on trail for 1 hr 15 min – takes me part where beavers crushed my truck – have a good day – largest fish approx. 18 1/2” – miss some big ones slurping BWO’s – small flies seem to work better today. Land ½ doz. fish – fall is on it’s way, though.
Note: Robert and Ken do survey/etc. with Ron Manz and “surgical team” (for transmitters) on North Ram. October 3, 1992 (great Indian Summer weather) – apparently good action – big fish, Robert using dries. Manz has fine results with shocking pink San Juan worm.
