Pam I go camping in the mountains. We camp near Wapiabi Creek (where the locals have caught some big Dolly Varden); however, recent heavy rains have left the creek extremely swollen and muddy. I try nearby Sturrock Creek (which is only slightly wider than Stauffer but very deep) – there’s a heavy hatch of trico’s (?) in the 48 ° water but no action whatsoever in the hour I’m there. We stop at Stauffer on the way home and spend an hour upstream from the bridge west of the store. I catch a couple of browns on #14 Tetort hoppers, 53° water. Pam misses a couple, gets frustrated.
