Ken S. and I hit the water at 10:00 a.m. on a dandy Alberta spring day. There are a few other boats around, as well as some walk-in FF'ers; unusual, one would think, for a Thursday in mid-April. We fish hard, with modest results... Ken lands 3 mid-sized 'bows, LDR's another; I LDR a nice bow on a longline, fast retrieve BRB; get flashed a couple of times (one hog), but the highlight is landing a 24.5" bull trout, on a SJW of Ken S. design. The Bow below Carseland is at 1900 cfs today, according to gov.ab; reasonably good visibility; greenish sediment. Fish seem to be in the riffles and dropoffs.
