Couple of fine days with guide and outfitter Aaron Caldwell, and fishing pal Wade D.. Despite fluctuating water levels and very little obvious surface activity, Cod leads us to some pretty steady action on foam; I have some success with the leech deal on day two, Wade sticks with the dries. We do find some rising fish late in the evening on day one, before some of Aaron's excellent handmade pizza on the side of the river at midnight. We're on the water at 5:30 AM the next morning, we all need a nap after breakfast though, lol. We shut 'er down Friday afternoon just before the traditional severe thunderstorm (with hail) rolls through.
