Palometa day on Ascension Bay? Our plan is to hunt permit, and that's what we do. We finally get some wind today, and a few clouds too, but the clouds burn off after lunch, and it's another decent day all told. We get shots at a couple of permit in the morning, and I get a few schoolie bones out of a school we encounter. Potro is replaced by William today. William is quiet, but possessed of eagle eyes. We drift all over the flats south of town in the afternoon, and see a couple of big permit, and we get shots at them, but no hookups. I did get a follow, tho! But, at the end of the day, it's permit 5, us 0.
