It's a short 20 minute drive from Hanmer to the Clarence, which runs along a gravel road to nowhere. Bob does a great job early on, spotting a fish of almost 7 lbs., according to the scale in Bob's net. Also before lunch, hook into a very strong 8+ lb'er --- great run across a big pool; super fight. Interesting river; some gorge-type stretches... miss a couple in the p.m.... gets foggy as we head in.
