The day starts out calm enough, and we all get into fish early, nymphing. However, the wind starts to blow at an ever increasing pace, and the casting gets to be a tad difficult. Some good fish are hooked at the Cliffs of Doom, but by mid-afternoon, we are pretty much blown off the water. At about three pm, it gets real calm for a moment, then the wind switches from out of the west to being out of the east (mostly), and we motor back up eastbound ourselves as the temperature drops like a rock. We are all looking for rising fish, but very few are seen.
