Frank, Wally, Wade and I meet Bruce – and Bob Schliesser @ Phil’s in Calgary; record warm 25° day and calm to boot. Still a ton of weeds and what strikes me as a ton of people (altho not so Bob or Wally). The other guys do Mac to Janzen’s; we do Policeman’s to Mac. Bob shows me his nymphing set up – despite the weeds, we pick up some fish (10+ decent hookups for the boat, several other chances) but it’s tough slugging. The other guys have comparable day. Get some nice autumn colour photos. P.S. When casting the 2 nymph style – do the “let it hit the water behind you first” flop – do not attempt false casting in the air…
