It's me n' Frankie n' Glennie and Glenn's boy Cody on this brisk, unsettled September day. We find the going a tad tough, a seemingly common experience amongst the 20 or so craft on the darkly opaque waters of Beaver Lake. We see nary a backswimmer all day (Frank and Wade were out a week or so earlier, and had a good day on the 'swimmers), and most of the fish caught are taken subsurface. Frank lands seven or eight, and LDR's some more, Glenn lands four, including a twenty incher, and I get a couple of decent fish later in the day on a little leech pattern. I miss a beeg feesh earlier on a backswimmer. Don Andersen had a pretty good day, he said, other than a low hooked-to-landed ratio. Rain and hail later in the afternoon. The storm clears off, and some fish are caught, but then another cell blows in, and we book it.
