Wade kindly invites me to partake of a day on the Bow. Breakfast at A&W at 6:30 AM. It's a beautiful day: clear blue skies, no wind and 30 degrees. Great day for the beach; for fishin', maybe not so much. I am able to retrieve a wading staff that I left at Cod's camp last trip; run into Glen R. and his pal Jerry. Cod advises that the time to be fishing is early and late... of course we are there for the middle of the day, lol. Wade does a nice job on a picky riser in a tailout with a size 20 Trico on 5x. I get a nice one and get a good grab on the swing. We get some sporadic hits on the hopper and the leech. It's a super busy day on the river --- jet boats, jet skis, kayaks, canoes, drift boats, rafts, walk and wade guys, fly fishing seminars; you name it. Wade performs another heroic MaCgyver-like mechanical feat when the shift linkage blows up miles below our takeout; he gets it repaired with light gauge wire and a Leatherman tool! Home by about 8:00 PM.
