July 26, 2002 --- Oldman River and Livingstone River, Alberta
Frank and I are on the road at 5:00 a.m.; by 9:30 we're knee deep in the headwaters of the Oldman west of the bridge on Hwy. 22. (note: best route = Nanton west to #22). Frank is immediately into cutts on dries; I fart around w/ BRB in some pools, and get some hits from bull trout (?) but don't land any. After a couple of hours, we head north to the Livingstone, where we get lots and lots of pretty little cutts. River is in fine shape; fly du jour is the Chernobyl Ant. Home by 9:30 p.m. or so, beat --- but happy.
