It's been a few years since Wade and I did this trip, but we've got an almost perfect Sunday... sunny and calm throughout. We get there early to maximize the chance of getting some calm conditions, and end up spending a good part of the day is search of the piscatorial apex predator, the Northern Pike. Over the course of the day, we do spot a handful of big mamas, but they are in sleepy mode, and not at all interested in playing. We do land a handful of hammer handles. Put in at Bahai, and from there to the West End flats. By late afternoon, the lake is buzzing with all kinds of activity. Interestingly, the "bite" seems to turn on for all the fisherman in our area at about 2:00 PM. Good numbers of Lake Whitefish spotted in the deeper areas.
