Fun week with some Calgary fellas, and of course Mike and Maureen who are running the joint at The Palometa Club this season. Share a boat with Frank Alexander; very pleasant company. Also meet and socialize with fly-fishing businessmen Todd Heuver and James Andersen, who know how to party. I meet Victor, a urologist from Sao Paulo, Brazil; Stu and Leanne, a father-daughter team from Texas, and Steve, a long time returnee who fishes for steelhead on the Kispiox in the fall, when not looking after his chain of Applebee's restaurants in Pennsylvania. On this trip, the Permit are the definite victors versus the fishermen... a shutout for the fish, so to speak :-(
