It's been an El Nino Spring --- hot, dry, consistentently above average temps. The Red Deer is way low compared to usual. I do a float from Hwy 2 to Mackenzie Trail. The highlight of the trip is having some kids chuck rocks in my general vicinty whilst floating past the cliffs at RDG&CC... at first I thought there were some rising fish :-) I do manage to catch a "Northern Redhorse" at the mouth of Waskasoo creek.
