Day Three dawns bright and sunny, but with a brisk breeze once again. Pam joins William and I today, and we have some pretty good action in the morning. Get shots at a dozen or so fish; first or second cast I hook a good-sized bone who unfortunately dives into the mangrove roots... we back off the drag on the reel, and the fish then decides to head for open water. The line, however, is wrapped around a mangrove shoot, and he snaps off. Oh well... end up landing another four fish, all on the smaller side, but entertaining nonetheless. Pam reels one in... and the wind freshens as the day goes on, maybe up to twent-five knots; makes for real tough casting. The wind seems to blow the fish off the flats in the afternoon, and we book it at about three p.m. Note: hook and land a small barracuda while reeling in my bonefish fly.
