Me n' Frank; first trip to the Bow this year! On at Police by ten, and we head up a bit on a fine calm sunny morning. While I am farting around with the new switch rod, Frank catches five nice rainbows and a fat whitie. We head down to Goose Lake; I get a couple nice bows on SJW. The wind kicks up big time in the PM; I get one more below Must Be Nice, again on SJW. Nuthin' on the swing today; we do a fair bit of practice/experimenting with the spey/switch rods. Off by about five. Got to plus ten today but by the time we get home it's zero, snowing and blowing. Yay Alberta weather! Note: the usual big ice banks down from Police are virtually absent this year; they've been there until May some years. The river is low and quite clear.
