The River

On the banks of the Murray River is a beautiful place to be.
At first light the kookaburras begin to laugh, the morning
rays light up the golden cliffs and filter through the gum
trees. You might even catch a glimpse of a hot air balloon
silently drifting above. It is inspiring to watch and exciting
to capture.
Day time brings out the water sports from kayaks
to skiers or houseboats gliding peacefully up and down the river.
If you're lucky a paddle steamer will come on by.

At days end, standing on the cliffs above Blanchtown one can watch
the water turn from blue to gold to pink as the sun slips over the
horizon in the distance. A kooka landed on a wire in front of me and
laughed his song for me.

These photos show some of the beauty I saw by the river.
