Yorketown is situated in lower Yorke Peninsula, South Australia. It was nearly renamed Salt Lake City due to having approximately 200 salt lakes surrounding it. The salt dries out during summer and as we had little rain last winter this lake is very dry this year and has left some fascinating patterns in the salt.
