The river is part of the international boundary, between the US and Canada with, Detroit, Michigan, being on the left, and Windsor, Ontario, on the right. The bridge is the Ambassador Bridge, which is one of 2 links for the cities. The other is a tunnel going under the river, located up to just this side of the tall, black cylindrical building on the US side. The island in the middle of the river is Belle Isle, a US possession. Beyond Belle Isle is Lake St. Clair in the distance.
