Various houses

Set within a 1000 acre deer park, this is the site of a medieval home of Henry VIII's Archbishop of Canterbury, Thomas Cranwell, which the King took possession of in 1538. Various parts have been rebuilt over the years since. This is the birthplace of the novellist and poet Vita Sackville-West (1892-1962)
