My wife and I met Glenn Fenster this morning at the Waffle House at U.S. Highway 98 and the Navarre Beach Bridge. He told us that he was on his 5th annual bike ride for epilepsy awareness and that his trip started on April 12 from his home at Aventura, FL in the greater Miami area.
Glenn’s son Nyle who is 16 years old has suffered from seizures since the age of 2. According to Glenn Medication works wonders, but not miracles. Glenn says that after the last 4 years that he has biked over 25,000 miles on cross country bike trips for epilepsy awareness.
I asked Glenn permission to shoot photos of him and his bike at various place along the 20 mile route on Highway 87 between Navarre and Interstate 10. I shot the photos below of Glenn at various places along Highway 87 and the last photo is of Glenn biking over the Yellow River Bridge.
I encourage you to make a donation on Glenn’s website http://www.destinymakerevents.com – Your sponsorship will support the bike ride and help Destiny Maker inform, inspire, educate and raise epilepsy awareness.
Great photos! I met Glenn at the next Waffle House at the 1-10 and Hwy 87 . It was a privilege and an honor to meet someone so dedicated to this cause. My son has Epilepsy and I wanted to cheer Glenn on his journey!
