The Keating Channel is an man made strip of water which connects the long-since redirected mouth of Toronto's Don River (passing under the bridge at lower right) to the harbour in the distance.
The elevated roadway is part of the eastern Gardiner Expressway which reaches some of its greatest elevations in this area. The bottommost span is Lakeshore Boulevard which runs under the Gardiner at this point.
