The Cinematic Format ?

Influenced by the work of Turkish photographer Nuri Bilge Ceylan, (www.nuribilgeceylan.com)

I find this format very pleasing even though it does not suit every image.

Like Ruth,my Panny Lumix LX-1 has the 16:9 format and I use it almost exclusively when I take along that camera.

i also love this format...
my leica d-lux 3 has a 16x9 'cine' format...i love experimenting with it, i find i have to focus (excuse the pun) much harder on what i am including/not including in the shot. it can make for striking results if the subject matter is right!
