Basically this is the Thai new year. Originally, they would gently pour water over each other's hands in a symbolic washing away of the previous year. Now it is somewhat more 'muscular'. Hundreds die on the roads during this time and thousands are injured. BUT... the day we took part, had it been in most western countries, there would have been the inevitable aggression, fights and ugliness. In typical Thai fashion..sanuk sanuk...fun fun.
