Mae Sai, on the border between Thailand & Burma. Mae Sai is a Thai market town where goods from China come in. Those with money go there to scoop up cheap bargains. Those with nothing, hope for a crumb or two. A destitute young Burmese mother has come over the border from Tachilek.. maybe only in her mid 20's, she looks on as the wealthy buy things she could never dream of.
