CVNP was named after the Cuyahoga River. The park is located between Cleveland and Akron Ohio, a distance of 30 miles, but the river has so many twists and turns its length is 90 miles as it flows between the two cities. Deep forests, rolling hills, and open farmlands frame the valley.
