The Romanian Village Museum on the outskirts of Bucharest was created in 1937 under the reign of Romanian King Carol II(Karl of Hohenzollern). It collects typical rural dwellings and other buildings from all regions of Romania. We visited on Flower Sunday, the Eastern Orthodox equivalent of Palm Sunday. Many families were there for the day to enjoy fine weather, lovely flowers and a variety of local handicraft vendors' displays.
