Selinunte

Selinunte was one of the early Greek settlements in Sicily and is now an important archeological site. There are remains of seven important Greek temples there. Since research has not yet yielded a definitive answer as to which god each temple served, they are simply labeled with letters of the alphabet. Nearby is the quarry where the limestone for the temples was removed.
