Today we rode along the southern shore of Lake Balaton to Balatonszemes. Lake Balaton is a very shallow, spring-fed lake with a fine silt bottom. This results in generally warm waters and a milky appearance.

On the following morning before leaving for our next ride, we had a demonstration of Hungarian folk art and culture from a very talented Hungarian woman and her daughter. The daughter translated her mother's remarks into English as well as performing in the folk dances.
