Chinon

Chinon is the castle that Henry II of England and Eleanor of Aquitane lived in as represented in the movie A Lion in Winter. It is also the castle where the French dauphin who was to become Charles VII was first accosted by Joan of Arc. The castle ruins loom above the Medieval center of Chinon village.
