This is to demonstrate the effect of a camera tilt (2 of 2). This is the same f/8 shot but with 5 degrees of camera back tilt. The benefit is to achieve more DOF at larger apertures. The focal plane, which was previously parallel to the film plane, is now leaning back away from you. The rocks in the background are now in focus. But also notice that the top of the trees closer to the camera are out of focus...this area is outside the tilted focal plane. (Ignore the appearance of exposure change.)
