Sandy and I traveled from our home in Walnut Creek, CA to Michigan in the fall of 2008. We took a route through the northern states providing visits to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks, the prairie of North Dakota and Minnesota, the shoreline of Lake Superior and the north woods of Michigan. We planned to see Michigan's fall colors and visit family while there.

Our return trip took us through Ohio, Kentucky and Arkansas and several of the Amish and folk music centers there, before heading on to Albuquerque to visit with our daughter, Amy.

Travel always offers excitement and surprises. This is a chronicle of our trip. I hope you enjoy the photos and the brief text.
