The Au Sable River is located in northern Michigan. These photos were taken on a stretch of the river near Roscommon which included the Mason Wilderness Tract. A large variety of wildlife - lots of ducks, herons, mink, beaver, muskrat, deer, kingfishers, bohemian waxwings, otter, bald eagles and even mountain lion - can be seen on early morning trips.
