Brazilian free-tailed bats

We visited the Carlsbad (NM) bat flight last night where something over a half million Brazilian free-tailed bats fly out of a cave near the entrance to the Carlsbad Caverns. While electronic devices, including cameras, weren't allowed in the area around the cave, I was able to get some good shots of the bats leaving the cave. Of course, the sight, sound, aroma and the gentle breeze created by the bats as they leave the cave is beyond amazing. They came out of the cave like a cloud of locusts and when we left, more than an hour and a half after they started to leave, they were still coming out of the cave. This is a world class wildlife experience.
