Calavera Art

Mexican Folk Art often includes what has become known as Calavera Art. It involves the use of skulls and skeletons to portray segments of everyday life. Calavera Art is especially prevalent around The Day of the Dead celebration in October.

This mural is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico and has many whimsical scenes like this one.
